Enrichment Center Information
What is the enrichment center?
The enrichment center is Monroe Academy's supplemental education center
located in the upper elementary building.
What can the enrichment center do for you?
The enrichment center can identify learning styles, give individual and small
group instruction, communicate with classroom teachers, reinforce classroom
skills, assist and identify areas of weakness, help foster positive self-esteem
and confidence, develop study skills, extend time on testing, and offer a quiet,
private environment for learning.

All diagnosed students at Monroe Academy have the option to take SATs in the
enrichment center at zero cost.

Criteria for enrolling:
1. Monroe Academy students in grades K4 - 12

2. Recent (less than 3 years) psycho-educational
evaluation by a certified psychologist or
psychometrist. All testing is to be reviewed by
Wanda T. Manning, LBSW,M. Ed., who serves as a
consultant for Monroe Academy.

3. Diagnosis in at least one of the following areas:
Developmental Learning Disorder, Attention Deficit
Disorder, Central Auditory Processing Disorder,
Expressive or Receptive Language Disorder
When do students come to the enrichment center?

  • Need based - 1 to 5 sessions or just to take tests

  • K4 - 4th grade students receive 30 minute sessions

  • 5th - 12th grade students receive a class period
